Quarterly Artist Grants
Each fiscal quarter, the Athens Area Arts Council awards grants of $500 to organizations, artists, or events in Athens, GA. With this grant, the AAAC aims to fulfill our mission of “connecting arts to the community” in meaningful, substantial, and sustainable ways.
Grants awards are announced in April, July, October and January. Your application will be kept active for one year so that even if you are not awarded in the first quarter, you are still eligible to receive funding in a later quarter.
Deadlines for each quarter are March 15, June 15, September 15, and December 15.
Grant Application Process:
Prepare Portfolio – Gather images, video or audio files that you want to include with your application as part of your portfolio. Please be sure to rename these images with your last name, first initial, and image number (ex. JonesW_Image1.png). JPG, PNG and PDF formats are preferred for images. MP4 or MP3 formats are preferred for video and audio files. We ask that you upload between 3-5 files for your portfolio.
Create Budget Sheet – You can download our Sample Budget Sheet to use as a guide to help you in completing this step. You may complete this form using either Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or Microsoft Word. XLS, CSV or PDF formats are preferred. Some examples of submitted proposals and budgets that were previously awarded grants can be found below.
Submit Application – Once you have your portfolio and budget ready please submit our Quarterly Grant Application via Google forms.
