Athens Area Arts Council has been granted an exclusive evening at the Hotel Indigo to host Celebrate the Arts 2010 in conjunction with blvd’s Weekend Fashion Affair. The fundraiser, "Material World"-Art Meets the Runway! 2010 will be held on Friday April 9th 2010. The event is free and open to the public, but VIP runway seats are for sale for $40.

7-8 p.m. Art Reception at Mercury Art Works, Hotel Indigo

8-9 p.m. Wearable Art Show on the Runway in the Lobby, Hotel Indigo

9-11 p.m. Music by Sonny Got Blues in Rialto Room, Hotel Indigo

Bring lots of friends, Support the last shelters!

The event is free but there are limited chairs along the runway for $40 that will allow you to better see the models and art.

All proceeds support You, Me & the Bus II, one of the first public/private partnerships among the Athens Transit System, the Athens-Clarke County Government, and the Athens Area Arts Council (AAAAC).

Look for four new music-themed bus shelters to be unveiled in April 2010, with four more coming in 2011.
