Brown Art Gallery: The Brown Art Gallery
is looking for emerging artists to exhibit their artwork at Mercer University
Atlanta. Located in the Monroe F. Swilley, Jr. Library, the Brown Art Gallery
is unique to other galleries in that it offers exhibition space to professional
artists, amateur artists, students and hobbyists free of charge. For more

Museum of Art Fifty years ago, the
Samuel H. Kress Foundation gave a small collection of Italian Renaissance
paintings to the Georgia Museum of Art. Now, in celebration of that anniversary
the Georgia Museum of Art announces the Kress Project. The museum is soliciting
responses to these paintings. All ages and all levels of education may
participate. Details on how to submit, submission forms, images of the
paintings and information on them are available on this website. At the end it
will be judged by a panel who will choose up to 24 winners to be published in a
book and awarded a $500 prize each. the deadline is Dec. 13. Atlanta
Contemporary Art Center: The Atlanta
Contemporary Art Center seeks artists who live and work in Georgia to
particpate in "Day Job: Georgia," an exhibition examining the

Cleveland County Arts Council (North Carolina): The Cleveland County
Arts Council is accepting 2 and 3 dimensional art for an upcoming juried
exhibit based on the theme of baseball. The exhibit coincides with the 2011
American Legion World Series in Shelby, August 12 – 16, 2011. Artwork must
pertain to or depict baseball. The American Legion Baseball Commission will
sponsor a $500 Purchase Award. The winning piece of artwork will be purchased
by the commission and may be used as a prize or given away during the games.
All artists, both amateur and professional age 18 and older, are invited to
submit their work for consideration. Deadline: July 15 for

Space & Time Online Art Gallery: Light Space & Time
Online Art Gallery announces an "Open" art competition for the month
of July 2011. A Group exhibition of the top five finalists will be held online
at the Light Space & Time Art Gallery for the month of August 2011. The
theme is Open, you decide, so send us your best art now! Awards will be for
1st, 2nd and 3rd places, honorable mention and special recognition . All
winners will be selected, announced and featured on the Light Space & Time
website on August 1, 2011. Thereafter, the artworks will remain online in the
Light Space & Time Archives with links to the artist’s websites. Deadline to apply is

Museum of Fine Arts (Tallahassee, Fla.): An evolving
collaboration between the College of Visual Arts, Theatre & Dance and the
College of Medicine has brought Professor Judith Rushin, guest curator from the
Department of Art, to her research for “Heads, Shoulders, Genes & Toes.”
The exhibition will contain works by artists who explore the intersection of
art and human biology where scientific advances raise issues of cultural,
political and technological significance through work that is editorial,
thought provoking, and sometimes infused with humor. All works in 2 and 3-D,
performance, installation, and video will be considered. All media will be

Art Center (Michigan): The Anton Art Center
invites artists to submit their work for their upcoming exhibition entitled
"On the Wall." There is no media, size, or theme restrictions,
but artists must be 18 and older. Installation days are
Aug. 17-19, the exhibition is Aug. 20-Sept. 24 For more information,

the installation days to hang work on wall and sign contract. Wall space
is chosen on a first-come, first-served basis. Community
Arts Center (Lexington, Ky.): For the Horizon
Contemporary Landscape Juried Exhibit, The juror will be asked to select work
(both two and three dimensional) that reflects and expresses the theme of
Contemporary Landscape while demonstrating creativity, strength of execution,
and overall artistic excellence with the goal of selecting a well-rounded
exhibit that showcases a broad range of artistic style and interpretation. All
artists using visual media are eligible to enter the Horizon exhibition. All
media will be considered with the exception of live or performance art. All
work must have been completed since January of 2008 and not previously shown in
any other Community Arts Center exhibitions. Entry postmark deadline:
